I have had the pleasure of escaping to St. George's Island with the
Clendinen family, a trip to Beaver County for my family reunion.
July was a Disney cruise with my daughter from Pittsburgh, PA and the
three darlings which was delightful. In September I attended the AARP
convention in Boston with a dear cousin from California. This was
a wonderful experience, learned lots and the entertainment was awesome!
September found me in Scotland again with son and family. This
country is becoming a second home.
Creating New Opportunities
for Service
Currently I am working on programs for staff development in the work
place. For example, "Lunch and Learn", "Morning Coffee Klatches",
or after work "Happy Hour" presentations. |
In May, Leadership with your Head & Heart to FSMA, Florida Society of
Medical Assistants in Orlando with Diana Kileger. Contact her at
kliergerdmk@yahoo.com .
They've invited me to their national convention next year. Also in May
and June, I talked to the Alzheimer's Association at conferences they
presented for caregivers in Ocala and Gainesville. Contact: Cheri
Clark at 1-800-272-3900. These talks are for supporting and
encouraging those in challenging roles with a bit of humor, compassion
and healthy goal setting for themselves.
May 18, I was at the PAHCOM conference in Brooksville, FL on customer
service. This is always one of my favorite groups and I have had
the pleasure of doing several of their national conventions over the
years. Thank you Marge McQuade.
The end of May found me in St. Petersburg for the Children's Medical
Services State Convention which resulted in a wonderful letter from
Patty Kopp. Her contact number is 1-866-300-6878. She
comments, "Although the message she conveys can be 'taught' by many, I
doubt any have the gift to embody the spirit and engage others the way
she does!" My talk was "The Natural High- Learning to Love Life"
and it fit this great group of "number crunchers."
July 18 found me in Lancaster, PA to talk about leadership with
Keystone AAHHAM, American Association of Healthcare Administrative
Management folks. This was a result of a national convention I had
done for them in Orlando a few years ago. They have invited me
back in January 2008 for Susquehanna Health in Williamsport. More
info is available from Carolyn Brown at 1-800-932-0359 - ext. 2460.
